Just a simple CLONE command and literally a moment later regardless of the size of the data the data is ready to be used in a new place. Possibility of establishing new computational servers Snowflake has a separated data layer from the computational layer so we can establish subsequent computational servers at any time to achieve specific goals and for the needs of the ETLELT process we select a machine e.g. with medium computing power which is to operate for several hours during the day and for the needs of simple reports we choose a smaller machine that operates all day long. Such servers operate separately from each other thanks to which we obtain very high flexibility without the risk of scaling the solution.
Moreover by separating servers dedicated to specific tasks it will be easy to track the costs of individual parts of the solution. Dynamic scaling when there is a lack of computing power scaling the computing server up or across is not a problem. As long as we accept Email Marketing List that at this point we will pay more for the entire service. Of course if we no longer need more computing power we can scale the servers down just as efficiently as when scaling up.
This creates considerable opportunities to optimize the time of individual operations and allows for reasonable cost management. Almost no administrative costs at the basic level we do not have to deal with issues that are important in other database engines such as creating indexes and other optimization structures. Thanks to the Time Travel option which allows us in a truly magical way to view the state of data before various operations updating deleting records or even deleting a table it is possible although I recommend caution here in which no backups are created.
