Hello I see the new version of Pi got rid of polyfuses for USB. I already did the same with my old board with wire across polyfuses. But I have a new idea. I will totally remove usb polyfuses so there is no +5v to USB through main polyfuse and add additional wires form supply microUSB to 2 USB connectors. This way I could connect power hungry 3G modem or WIFI dongle and still have overcurrent protection for core raspi side. Of course I will get a more powerfull supply. I was also thinking to add ~500mA THT polyfuses instead of previous mentioned wires from microUSB to USB. My local shop has a good selections of those. Or would it be better to use miniature wires fuses for less voltage drop. Any help will be apprecited. I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
